About Grenaby Estates

In 2002, Jo and Iain took over the Farm at Grenaby and hence Grenaby Estates was created. When they bought the farm it was best described as sad, having been unoccupied for around 6 months and no farming have taken place for almost a year. Since then, they together with the help and hard work of a great team have transformed the Estate into a colourful and well maintained property. In doing so, the vision has used many traditional materials, such as Manx Slate Stone to reinstate walls and improve the aesthetic appearance of the much needed agricultural buildings. All the agricultural buildings have had works done and the old Manx Stone barn has been fully restored to former glory and converted to provide the Guest Cottages.

As well as the buildings, the whole farm has been re-fenced, with some walkways introduced to take guest down to the adjoing Silverburn river. Trees have been planted and much landscaping has happened and continues as the vision unfolds.
